When it comes to the systems to run your enterprise : less is more.
From the biggest behemoths to every one-woman-show, most organisations around the world use a number of separate software programs to aid the management of their day to day activities. An organisation might use Outlook to store contacts, Wordpress to publish their website, Mailchimp to send messages (or "bulk email"), Quickbooks to keep their operations running on a day-to-day basis.
This creates a problem because these different applications do not "speak" to one another. Amidst this confusion many owners, managers and employees just revert back to using Excel.
One of the current projects is called "The Abalimi - Harvest of Hope Ecosystem" : An animated and interactive infographic; based on enterprise data in real-time.
Abalimi Stakeholders will be able to use this for "Visualising and Interacting with the Abalimi & HoH Ecosystem".
People think of data visualization as output, and the insight that I think Ben has had with Bloom is that data visualization will become a means of input and control... Being able to manipulate data in real-time is an important shift. Data visualizations would then become interfaces (as well) rather than (just) reports.
